current event #8

This current event is about a tragic killing at the California animal zoo for exotic large cats. A newly employed intern had always been fascinated in large animals like these since childhood and was very excited about her new job. Unfortunately she preceded to enter the lion of four years of age's cage and was mauled by the lion. She was not supposed to be in the lions habit and was killed at the scene because of the lack of workers near by.
This affected the community in many ways. It hurt the reputation of the well known animal zoo. The zoo was inspected many times before the incident and was rated to be well kept. Many of the workers and even the owner were taken back and heartbroken at the news of what happened. They lost a well loved employee and were shocked of how this could've happened.
My reaction to this was that with the right rules and regulations this would have never happened. If she would've known that you were not supposed to enter, her life would've been saved. Even if there was a chance of more employees in the area like they are supposed to be someone could have saved her.
