The life of a bubble.

This story is about how more medical research should be put into to researching for mental illness diseases. They spend limited amount of time and nothing good has become of it.
This affects the community because maybe if more time was put into the research we would find more cures. Or not even research, just to get people aware of it and discussing it. It could save lives.
I think people with interests should donate money or even start new charities to help the research of undiscovered diseases and how to help with them. \

This past wednesday was the season finale of the series Law and Order: SVU. Olivia Benson, one of the main detectives came home to the number one suspect of a rape/torture case. The suspect had a past of somehow getting off from his crimes and he was just set off bail that day. But that was not the end of him. When she entered her home she was held at gun point by the suspect and then the screen went black. What a suspenseful season finale.
This affects the community because many people and families, such as mine, routinely watch this series. Now that the main character might have a chance of never coming back on the show worries everyone. She makes the show for many and it would not be the same without her.
My reaction was shocked at first because i wanted to know what happens next. Once i heard the spreading rumors that she might be off the show i was upset.

Home health care worker population is growing at a rapid pace. These people are needed in society and will never go away. With the baby boom and elderly population their need has increased. These caring and hard working people are barely making minimum wage and getting no benefits. This has to change, but the government is looking over the situation at hand.
This affects the community because other than their patient, the workers also have family's that they have to take care of and support. Without the right amount of pay they cannot do that.
I am very disappointed that the government isn't taking this seriously. These people are giving there time to care for those in need out of the goodness of their hearts and they are not receiving anything in return.

Chris Kelly, a famous rapper from the 90's, was found dead yesterday. It is suspected that he died of a possible drug overdose. He was only 34 years old.
This impacted the community because he was a well known artist and made many hit songs. Through his music he connected to people and influenced their lives. He was a role model to many young upcoming rappers.
Having an older brother that is big into rapping caused me to be aware of this news.
