Current Event #4

This current event is about an abduction of a little one year old boy named Robert Hagerty. He was taken out of 22 children off of a school bus after the driver had been shot and killed. The community was in complete shock and had many questions to why this poor boy was taken. My reaction to this is that things like these should be learned how to be prevented sooner so these tragedies to not occur.

Current Event #3

In this current event Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde warns the american people to beware the creation of the BJP and the RSS terror training camps. This impacts the community because we are all in severe danger if we do not stop this problem that has been put in front of us. My reaction to this is that we should all take extreme awareness to this information and the government needs to make a move and deal with the problem.

Current Event #2

After years of denial, Lance Armstrong finally admits on the Oprah Show about his drug abuse throughout his cycling career. This event impacted the community because it crushed many hearts. Lance Armstrong was an idol to many, to hear someone so inspirational to you admit that they cheated and abused the rules of something so important would be heart wrenching. My reaction to it was shocked that he would actually admit his faults on tv to everyone world wide.

Current Event

A 16-foot shark was caught within 200 yards from the shore of Jacksonville Beach last Wednesday at around 9 A.M. This shark has a special tracker device on it so thats how the researchers caught it. This was only about two football fields away from shore which is a really scary thought considering all the shark shows and shark week episodes I've seen. This is really scary because I'm really scared of sharks and if I ever saw one I'd probably die.

I have chosen the story of the little boy riding his bike on training wheels going against the Russian army. I think it is very inspiring because in the shot you can really see the size comparison of the two opposing sides. It also shows that you can stand up for what you believe in no matter your size, age, or power. This little boy didn't not care what the other people thought of him, he just knew what he believed in and wanted to achieve.
